How we do it
RESIN8® turns hard-to-recycle plastic into a material that is integrated into blocks, concrete and asphalt. It is part of REAP, our circular economy model: what one industry discards, another transforms into value.

Social housing construction program in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity.
Lekil Na’ shows how CRDC materials can take part in social housing projects in collaboration with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity.

In August we launched the “La Meta Que Construye” Call for Applications, open to civil society organizations (CSOs), to identify social housing, home improvement and community infrastructure projects (such as schools, health centers or paving) that can benefit from sustainable building materials. Here we present the projects selected by CRDC’s Sustainability and Partnerships Committee, so that everyone who joins the campaign knows where their RESIN8® blocks are going.
New Story Homes
El Porvenir housing development
- Description
- Part of New Story Homes’ housing access program, which has already benefited 330 families. The proposal identifies families with finished foundations to raise their walls and create a case study on the performance of RESIN8® materials in real social housing.
- Progress
- It is an established, delivered development: the lots have basic services, several families have already started building and some homes have finished foundations. New Story Homes will run a technical validation to select the participating homes.
Playa del Carmen Equine Therapy Center
Inclusion and autonomy for life
- Description
- Building the second stage of the Comprehensive Care Center (CEAI) will significantly expand the capacity to serve people with disabilities in Playa del Carmen and nearby municipalities. The planned spaces will strengthen education, rehabilitation and social inclusion services. It will also promote a more inclusive community by reducing barriers to specialized services and creating dignified, accessible and safe spaces for children, young people and adults with disabilities.
- Progress
- Work started with a donation from the OXXO round-up program for soil mechanics studies, initial foundations, land preparation and preliminary infrastructure work.

Un Hogar para Chiapas
Project Fénix. Perimeter wall
- Description
- Perimeter wall for a kindergarten that currently lacks much of its fence. The intervention strengthens school safety and improves the operating conditions of the school in a vulnerable rural community.
- Progress
- Project under way: foundation, tie-beam pouring and column construction completed. The blocks will be used to raise the walls of the fence.

Project Fénix. Media classroom
- Description
- This is a bilingual elementary school in a highly marginalized peripheral area. The direct beneficiaries are 195 children who face digital divide, language barriers and limited school infrastructure. The intervention seeks to guarantee their right to a dignified, technological and inclusive education from early childhood.
- Progress
- Under construction: foundation finished, structural tie-beams poured and columns completed. The blocks will be used to raise the classroom walls.
